No matter what walk of life you are, you are welcome at our show and if you are somebody who would not want a person with a different sexual orientation at a show with you then actually it’s you are not welcome at the show. —Tim McIlrath
It’s all about trials and tribulation. It’s about the obstacles that you find sometimes in your path when you try to get somewhere. It’s about heartbreak. It’s about misfortune. It’s about the cheating, you know, the days that it rains. You know what I’m talking about? Maybe it’s about the days that the garbage is on strike. Maybe that’s what it’s about. Well, it’s not a sad song. It’s about how we over come those obstacles How we get past that, and how through that process, through that process of surviving, it often defines who we are. It defines the person that we will become. So this song is about you, because you’ve been through it, and if you haven’t, you inevitably will, because I bet you, to get through it, to see it through to the other side, is worth it. —Tim McIlrath
